Hello OBUC Church Families,

The OBUC Board Members and Ministers met following the service on Sunday, March 15 and it was decided that in order to support the best practices recommended by the Province of Manitoba, Sunday church services will cease for the next 3 Sundays. That is, there will be no Sunday services on March 22, 29 and April 5. We will be in regular communication on the cancellations as new developments are made. Although there will be no Sunday services, the church will remain open and the Ministers will be available.

We realize the need to connect as a community of faith and support one another during these uncertain circumstances. We are looking into various options for ways to connect online with resources of support and other prayerful messages. We will be posting information on our website as updates are available. There will be more frequent congregational emails and we will be adding updates on our Facebook page. We realize the need to keep you informed with timely information and will do our very best. As well, it is our hope to provide all OBUC members with an opportunity to connect during these strained times.

We will be communicating office hours for both Kristin and Maureen so that you may reach out should you wish to join them for a coffee, conversation, or connection. As well, we are looking at ways to ensure a connection with any church members that have recently returned from travel and are having to self isolate for 2 weeks.

We are concerned about the health and safety of our Ministers and staff and therefore ask anyone visiting the church to follow the steps for social distancing, increased hand washing, and the use of hand sanitizer. We also expect that you follow the provincial recommendations for social distancing and self isolation should you have any cold or flu-like symptoms.

We will send updates as new information is available and we thank you for your understanding and patience.

Please advise the Church Office (204-444-2815) if you know of anyone in need of support or pastoral care so that we may make arrangements to ensure they are cared for in a timely manner.

Sincerely,

OBUC Board and Ministers
