Responsive Scripture

Psalm 133

Refrain:
Behold how pleasant, how good it is!
Behold how pleasant, how good it is!

1. How pleasant and harmonious when God's people are together: fragrant as precious oil when running fresh on Aaron's beard.

Refrain

2. How pleasant and harmonious when God's people are together: fresh like the morning dew that falls on Zion's holy hill.

Refrain

3. How pleasant and harmonious when God's people are together: there is where God bestows the blessing, life for evermore.

Music Offering

Introit: There is Room for All
Performed by Stephen Cocks

There is room for all in the shadow of God’s wing;
there is room for all, sheltered in God’s love.
And I rejoice and sing, “My refuge and my rock, in whom I trust.”
There is room for all, there is room for all!
(Repeat)

Hymn: Come In, Come In and Sit Down
Performed by Stephen Cocks

Refrain:
Come in, come in and sit down,
you are a part of the family.
We are lost and we are found,
and we are a part of the family.

1.
You know the reason why you came,
yet no reason can explain;
so share in the laughter and cry in the pain,
for we are a part of the family.

2.
God is with us in this place,
like a mother's warm embrace.
We're all forgiven by God's grace,
for we are a part of the family.

Refrain

3.
There's life to be shared in the bread and the wine;
we are the branches, Christ is the vine.
This is God's temple, it's not yours or mine,
but we are a part of the family.

4.
There's rest for the weary and health for us all;
there's a yoke that is easy, and a burden that's small.
So come in and worship and answer the call,
for we are a part of the family.

Music Ministry: from Rendez-vous

This past week, Rendez-vous, a national youth gathering, was supposed to be held in Calgary. Our youth group was fundraising and planning to attend, but because of the pandemic, this event had to move online. This Tuesday, our youth group, as well as about ten other youth from the Winnipeg area, gathered in our church to kick off Rendez-vous together and reflect on the day’s theme of Bold Faith. We did some things together live, and also watched some of the online material together, including that evening’s worship service. These two videos are of the music shared during that service by the band Naked Faith, we hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

Hymn: My Love Colours Outside the Lines
Performed by Stephen Cocks

1.
My love colours outside the lines,
Exploring paths that few could ever find;
And takes me into places where I’ve never been before,
And opens doors to worlds outside the lines.

2.
My Lord colours outside the lines,
Turns wounds to blessings, water into wine;
And takes me into places where I’ve never been before
And opens doors to worlds outside the lines.

We’ll never walk on water if we’re not prepared to drown,
Body and soul need a soaking from time to time.
And we’ll never move the gravestones if we’re not prepared to die,
And realize there are worlds outside the lines.

3.
My soul longs to colour outside the lines,
Tear back the curtains, sun, come in and shine;
want to walk beyond the boundaries where I’ve never been before,
Throw open doors to worlds outside the lines.

We’ll never walk on water if we’re not prepared to drown,
Body and soul need a soaking from time to time.
And we’ll never move the gravestones if we’re not prepared to die,
And realize there are worlds outside the lines.

4.
My soul longs to colour outside the lines,
Tear back the curtains, sun, come in and shine;
I want to walk beyond the boundaries where I’ve never been before,
Throw open doors to worlds outside the lines.

Hymn: Grant Us, God, the Grace
Performed by Stephen Cocks

Grant us, God, the grace of giving,
with a spirit large and free,
that ourselves and all our living
we may offer faithfully.

Hymn: We Are Pilgrims on a Journey
Performed by Stephen Cocks

1.
We are pilgrims on a journey,
fellow travellers on the road;
we are here to help each other
walk the mile and bear the load.

2.
Sister, let me be your servant,
let me be as Christ to you;
pray that I may have the grace to
let you be my servant too.

3.
I will hold the Christ-light for you
in the night-time of your fear;
I will hold my hand out to you,
speak the peace you long to hear.

4.
I will weep when you are weeping,
when you laugh I'll laugh with you;
I will share your joy and sorrow,
till we've seen this journey through.

5.
When we sing to God in heaven,
we shall find such harmony,
born of all we've known together
of Christ's love and agony.

6.
Brother, let me be your servant,
let me be as Christ to you;
pray that I may have the grace to
let you be my servant too.
